Spiral Productions LLC has just completed a major overhaul of the official Project London movie site. The original site was a single HTML page with a graphic, a link to the production blog and a link to sign up for the sometimes monthly email. The new site is built on the WordPress CMS system with a custom theme by Press75.com, which was again heavily customized to work for the movie with support from Hao Xiaobo. This site will take us through the release of the film.
Features planned for the near future include a character gallery, a page about the graphic novel (being created by Branson Anderson) and enhanced store features.
Project London is an independent, no-budget, feature-length, live action movie with vivid, intense, and marrow-vibrating visual effects and animations created with the open source software Blender (and other traditional software) and 250 (or so) worldwide volunteers. It’s led by The Triumvirate and set in Seattle, Washington. It will be available for worldwide viewing in its entirety very soon. In the meantime, check out an interview with the director: “Project London: The Most Ambitious No-Budget Effects Movie Ever”
The client needed a video to illustrate the simple steps necessary to setup and operate their Genie® Super-Straddle™ lift. Spiral Productions LLC producer director, Phil McCoy, created a short operator familiarization video designed to integrate with the client operator training program. Production took place in the Genie® product showroom in Redmond, WA (USA) where the technical sequences were shot. Application sequences were shot on location in the auditorium of Philadelphia Church in Seattle.
The Genie® Super-Straddle™ lift allows you to use the Genie® AWP™ in areas you never thought possible. With it you can easily access light bulbs, ceiling panels or secure a terrific camera angle above permanent seating, stairwells and other obstructions. You can see the video and learn more about this interesting product on the Genie® web site.
This is the first clip to be shown from Project London that includes live action footage composited with the animations we created using Blender. Half Acre Day let us use their music on this. Thanks Guys! Listen to more of their music at halfacreday.com.
This is the second clip that we’ve released from the film and we are darn proud of the work everyone is doing to make this film really cool. Thanks Team!
This clip was created and released to attract Blender Artists to our project; the science fiction action adventure film, Project London, written and directed by Ian Hubert.
